I’m exploring the idea of selling house as is mainly because I want to avoid the stress of renovations and long listing timelines. The house is livable but definitely not updated, and I feel like fixing everything would take more effort than it’s worth right now.

However, I’m starting to realize there might be challenges that are not immediately obvious. When selling house as is, do buyers tend to negotiate aggressively after seeing the condition, even if it’s already clear that no repairs will be made? I’m trying to figure out how predictable these deals actually are.

I’ve also been looking into companies that buy as is, since they promote quick closings and simple transactions. That sounds ideal, but I’m unsure how their offers compare with what I might get from a traditional buyer willing to take on a fixer upper.

Another thing I’m curious about is closing costs and fees. When selling house as is, do cash buyers typically cover those, or does it vary depending on the deal?
