Hey @kalistus Good to know about your passion for tech.

Learning computer repair can be a valuable skill that allows you to troubleshoot and fix common hardware and software issues. Here are some steps to help you get started:

1. Familiarize Yourself with Computer Basics: Begin by gaining a basic understanding of computer hardware components, such as the CPU, motherboard, RAM, hard drive, and graphics card. Learn about their functions, how they interact, and common terminology.

2. Study Operating Systems: Familiarize yourself with different operating systems like Windows, macOS, and Linux. Understand their installation processes, file systems, and common troubleshooting techniques for each platform.

3. Start with Software Troubleshooting: Begin by learning how to diagnose and resolve software-related issues. This may include troubleshooting operating system errors, software installations, driver conflicts, and malware removal. Online resources, tutorials, and forums can provide valuable guidance.

4. Practice Hardware Maintenance: Learn how to clean computer components, replace thermal paste, and manage cables. Understand preventive maintenance techniques to keep computers running smoothly, such as regular dusting and optimizing airflow.

5. Study Hardware Components: Expand your knowledge of computer hardware by learning about specific components like CPUs, RAM, hard drives, power supplies, and graphics cards. Understand their specifications, compatibility requirements, and troubleshooting procedures.

6. Hands-On Experience: Gain practical experience by working on real computers. Start by practicing on old or unused devices to minimize the risk of damage. Disassemble and reassemble computers, upgrade hardware components, and perform basic repairs under guidance or supervision if possible.

7. Online Courses and Certifications: Consider enrolling in online courses or certifications that focus on computer repair. These resources provide structured learning, detailed tutorials, and assessments to validate your knowledge and skills.

8. Join Online Communities and Forums: Engage with online communities and forums dedicated to computer repair. These platforms allow you to interact with experienced technicians, seek advice, and learn from their experiences. Active participation can broaden your understanding and provide practical insights.

9. Stay Updated: Computers and technology evolve rapidly, so it's important to stay updated with the latest hardware and software trends. Regularly read technology blogs, watch tutorial videos, and follow relevant industry news to keep your skills current.

10. Seek Internship or Apprenticeship Opportunities: Consider reaching out to local computer repair shops or IT departments to inquire about internship or apprenticeship opportunities. Practical experience working alongside professionals can greatly enhance your knowledge and skills.

Remember, computer repair involves working with delicate components and potentially sensitive data. Always prioritize safety and data protection. If you encounter complex or unfamiliar issues, it's best to consult an experienced professional.

Learning computer repair is an ongoing process, and practice is key to mastering the skills. Start small, gradually tackle more challenging tasks, and continually seek opportunities to expand your knowledge. With dedication, hands-on experience, and continuous learning, you can develop expertise in computer repair.

Hope this helps, I'm sure other Gurus here will give you more tips.
